BNO Trading is based in Dubai and trades agricultural commodities between African producing regions and buyers in the UAE and the wider GCC. Our growth has come from widening the supplier base behind each product line rather than from opening new offices.
A Deeper Supplier Network, Not Just a Longer List
For a B2B buyer, the useful question about a trading partner is not how many countries it mentions but how many qualified suppliers stand behind the specific line being purchased. A single-source line looks efficient until the harvest is late, the packhouse loses its licence, or a vessel is rolled.
Our work has concentrated on building more than one qualified source for the products we trade most: cocoa from West Africa, fresh produce from East Africa, and a range of nuts, grains, roots and oils across the continent. That means assessing suppliers against a written specification, understanding their harvest calendar, and knowing which documentation they can actually produce before an order is placed.
Widening the Product Range
The range now spans fresh produce, cocoa products, nuts and grains, roots and tubers, seeds and oils, and livestock and animal feed lines. Buyers can review the full product range, including cocoa beans, Hass avocado, dried hibiscus and Scotch bonnet chillies.
Breadth matters commercially because most wholesale, retail and foodservice buyers do not purchase one product. Consolidating several lines through one counterparty reduces the number of specifications, documentation sets and shipment schedules a buying team has to manage.
Africa to UAE Trade Lanes
The Africa to UAE corridor is where most of our shipments run, and it carries its own operational realities: origin export rules that change season to season, routing and transit times that are not fixed, and documentation requirements that differ by product and destination.
Understanding those details is the practical part of the job. A supplier relationship is only useful if the goods clear, arrive in condition, and arrive when the buyer said they were needed.
Working with GCC Buyers
Our customers are wholesalers, retailers, distributors, foodservice operators and processors. What they ask for is consistency: the same specification each time, honest lead times, and early warning when something changes.
Alongside sourcing, we offer distribution, warehousing, localisation and logistics support, described under our services. We do not own farms, packhouses or vessels; we work with the parties that do and hold the commercial arrangement together.
Talk to Us About a Requirement
